Frequently Asked Questions

HOW DO I RESERVE A PUPPY?
After your application is submitted, we’ll send you an email to let you know if it was approved. If approved, you’ll have the option to place a $500 non-refundable deposit, which will secure your spot on our master list.

Once your deposit is received, your name will be added to the bottom of the list. When a litter is born, we start at the top and go down the list, until the litter list has been filled. Families will have 24 hours to decide if they’d like to reserve a puppy from that specific litter or wait for the next one. If you choose to wait, your name stays on the list and continues to move up in the order deposits were placed.

PUPPY SELECTION PROCESS
Selection is based on the order of deposits placed. Puppy selection begins when the puppies are around seven weeks old. The person at the top of the list will choose first, followed by the next person, and so on.

The day before selection, we’ll send you pictures, videos, and evaluation notes to help you get familiar with each puppy and narrow down your favorites. On selection day, you’ll receive a 30-minute Zoom or FaceTime appointment with us. During that time, you can ask questions, see the puppies live, and make your final decision.

Once you’ve selected your puppy, the remaining balance is due, and we’ll begin organizing and planning for their go-home (gotcha) day.

We try to highlight the puppies frequently on Instagram Stories to show their growth and development. We’ll do our best to describe each one so you can get to know them as closely as possible. By the time selection day arrives, most families already have a few favorites picked out. You’re also welcome to visit the puppies in person before selection day.

NUTRITION
At Pineview Puppies, we believe that raising healthy puppies starts long before they go home. In addition to extensive health testing on all of our parent dogs, we place a strong emphasis on nutrition and early development.

We feed our dogs and puppies a combination of high-quality, ethically sourced kibble (Open Farm) and fresh, whole foods like raw goat milk, eggs, bone broth, and other nutrient-rich additions. Our goal is to build strong immune systems, support optimal growth, and lay the foundation for a long, healthy life.

Starting at 4 weeks old, our puppies are also introduced to a variety of supplements—including probiotics, joint support, and other key nutrients—to promote healthy digestion, strong bones and joints, and overall wellness during these critical early stages. We are passionate about what goes into our dogs’ bodies—just as much as the health testing we do on the outside—and we’re proud to raise puppies with both genetic soundness and vibrant health from the inside out.

ARE YOUR DOGS HEALTH TESTED?
Ensuring the health and well-being of all our puppies is our top priority. We only breed with the best of the best—top-quality, fully health-tested males and females. Our puppies are purposefully bred for superior intelligence, exceptional temperaments, and a strong desire to please. We strive to produce healthy, long-living companions with outstanding dispositions.

All of our parent dogs are DNA tested and have completed their OFA or PennHIP evaluations for hips, elbows, heart, and eyes.

PAYMENT

Our Goldens are sold as pets only for $5500. A $500 desposit secures your spot on the the master list. The remaining balance is due once you have selected your puppy. We accept Venmo, Zelle or Cash. If you're picking up your puppy in person, cash is preferred.

DO YOU FOLLOW A PUPPY CURRICULUM?

We believe the perfect dog starts with work done by the breeder. By using correct breeding principles and incorporating some of the best programs and methods, such as the Puppy Culture & The Bad Ass Breeder. Our puppies are raised and trained in our home, where they are exposed to everyday noises and life.  Puppy development is our main priority, we will practice daily: socialization, desensitization work, nerve strength, startle recovery, constant and gentle handling, exposure activities - which involve new smells, sounds, textures. We start litter box and crate training from a very young age to make potty training a breeze. These are all very important, fundamental steps to ensure your puppy has the best possible start in life.
